　　この作品は、ピアノ曲集《月巡りの歌》の中の“9月”（...海と私 Ⅲ）のオーケストラ・ヴァージョンです。曲集《月巡りの歌》の中で「海と私」というテーマはシリーズ化され幾つかあるのですが、それらは一人の主人公（今回はうら若き女性）と彼女が好きな海を巡る彼女の心象のヴァリエーションなのです。

　　Overview
　　This piece is an orchestral version of "September" (…IL MARE ED IO Ⅲ)(…the Sea and I Ⅲ) from the piano tunes book "Moon Voyage Songs". In the book, the theme “IL MARE ED IO” (the Sea and I) has been made into a series, there a number of them, and they are variations on the mental image of the main character (It's a Young beautiful woman in this piece) with her fevorite sea.

　　原曲の“9月”（...海と私 Ⅲ）は、ピアノ曲集《月巡りの歌》の中の一曲で、同一のテーマによる様々なヴァリエーションにより曲集でシリーズ化されている中のひとつです。様々なヴァリアントを通して聴き手の「感受性における幻想」（by Debussy）の内に、架空の時の物語・・・・が浮かび上がってくることを意図して進められています。主人公「私」は前回からは成長を遂げていて今回はうら若き女性。愛する海との対話の中に、思春期である彼女の複雑な心理が描かれています。

　　About the work (same as the explanation for the original piano version)
　　The original tune "September" (…IL MARE ED IO Ⅲ) (…the Sea and I Ⅲ) is one of the tune in the piano tunes book "Moon Voyage Songs". Through the various variants by same theme, the intention is for the story of imaginary times to emerge within the listener's “fantasy in sensitivity” (by Debussy). The main character, "I," has grown since the previous story and is now a young beautiful woman. Her complex adolescent psychology is depicted in her dialogue with her beloved the Sea.
